Woman shot to death for declining a man’s advances at a local bar


A Pittsburgh mother of two was shot and killed on Friday (Jan. 22) after declining a man’s advances at a local bar. Janese Talton-Jackson, 29, was found lying in the street on North Lang Avenue at approximately 2 a.m., after a shooting was reported in the Homewood area.

Three corpses were found and exhumed from a building site at Ugwuaji area of Enugu on the Enugu - Portharcourt Expressway yesterday Monday Jan. 25th. The corpses were buried inside the foundation of the building allegedly owned by a church which is under construction and totally covered with concrete.

According to unconfirmed sources, one of the workers at the site who heard about what had happened to the three men alerted the police, who came to exhume the bodies. The building is allegedly owned, according to residents in the area, by a ritualist who disguised to be a man of God. More photos...

Nigeria Shi’a group releases 705 names, photos of its missing members since the Dec clash with Nigeria Army

The Nigeria Shi'a group has released a list of its members that have gone missing since the December 12th clash they hard with the Nigerian Army.

The Islamic group had a fatal face-off with the Nigerian Army after some members of the group allegedly barricaded a road in Kaduna, preventing the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, from passing through the road. Over 300 people were reportedly killed.

Police find two-year-old boy stuck in the toilet crying after his parents left him alone to shop


A 2 year old's parents have been arrested on Thursday after he was found stuck in a toilet while left home alone.
Police say that neighbors in a building on Kingston Drive in Canton, Ohio called after hearing a child crying for at least half an hour at the Skyline Terrace apartments, according to IndeOnline.
The superintendent allowed cops inside the building where they reportedly found a two-year-old boy stuck in the toilet.
The poor tyke had apparently used the toilet and fell inside and got trapped.

Group questions Chief of Army Staff, Buratai’s non-inclusion in arms deal probe

The Save The Nation Movement has queried the exclusion of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai from the $2.1 billion arms deal investigation because he served as the Defence Headquarters Director of Procurement between 2012 and 2015.

In a statement issued in Abuja yesterday January 24th, and signed by its National Secretary, Mazi Steven O. Chilaka, the group said it was concerned that only Air Force chiefs were listed among those recommended for probe by the committee established to audit the procurement of arms and equipment in the Armed Forces and defense sector from 2007 to 2015.

R.Kelly opens up on relationship with the late Aaliyah and child pornography charges

R&B singer R.Kelly has opened up on the controversial stories that turned him into a tabloid regular.
The singer was alleged to be in a relationship with the late Aaliyah who was 15 year old at the time, and in 2008 he was also accused of filming himself having sex with a minor, a case he won in court.
 
He revealed in an interview with GQ that he doesn't regret the 'best friend' relationship he had with Aaliyah and that once you are found not guilty of charges in a law court be it murder or whatever,t hen you are not guilty.
"I will never have that conversation with anyone. Out of respect for Aaliyah, and her mother and father who has asked me not to personally. But I can tell you I loved her, I can tell you she loved me, we was very close. We were, you know, best best best best friends."

Neighbour (Family friend) sells 3 year old girl for N20,000

A three-year-old girl, Success Onyeisi was kidnapped from her home on December 22, 2015 and hasn't been seen since then.

The toddler was allegedly kidnapped by a neighbour and supposed family friend, Emmanuel Okpara, who during the search of missing 3 year old, helped the toddler's father,  Godwin Onyeisi, look for the girl, until he was accused by people who saw him with the child about the time she reportedly went missing.

Her father, a commercial motorcyclist said he has spent all his savings, about N60,000, on police investigations and other logistics to no avail.

Army Chief, Buratai, orders all officers to declare their assets

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai has directed all officers of the Nigerian Army who have not declared their assets to do so immediately. He gave the directive on Tuesday during a conference with Principal Staff Officers and Directors serving at the Army Headquarters.
