Girl plunges to her death while taking a selfie on a bridge in Russia

A 21 year old Russian woman named Anna Krupeynikova fell off a bridge while trying to take a selfie according to local media reports. Anna and some of her friends had been traveling in a bus while sightseeing around Moscow when they stopped at the bridge to take photos. Anna moved away from the group to take a selfie with her camera in front of her, unfortunately the fence she leaned on to take the pic was in bad condition, and gave way. She plunged 40ft to her death. So Sad!

Two young men, 19 year old Chudi-Hengari-Ajufo (whose parents are Nigerians) and 21 year old Ronnie Atuqiya were jailed for life on July 3rd for the murder of David Maxwell in Southwark, London. Ronnie Atuqiya will serve a minimum of 20 years while Chudi Hengari-Ajufo will serve a minimum of 16 years.

4yr old girl died after swallowing lithium battery ..doctors didn't know what was wrong with her

4 year old Summer Steer died in 2013 after swallowing a small lithium battery - she was taken to the hospital 3 times after she started vomiting blood but doctors didn't know what was wrong with her.

According to ABC News, an inquest heard that Summer went into cardiac arrest after ingesting the button-shaped battery on June 30, 2013, despite doctors telling her mother she would be fine.

Synagogue collapse: Coroner indicts T.B. Joshua’s Church, orders prosecution of building contractors

A coroner inquest instituted by the Lagos State government to investigate the collapse of a guest house owned by Synagogue Church, has indicted the church for negligence, NAN reports.

The guest house collapsed in September 2014, killing 114 people, many of them South Africans, who traveled to Nigeria for the church’s service in Lagos. The inquiry sat for months and set July 8 for its ruling. In his decision Wednesday, the judge ordered the prosecution of the contractors who constructed the collapsed building. (NAN)

Man who killed his son and left another almost dead is spared jail term by judge

A dangerous driver who killed his young son and left another with life-changing injuries has been spared jail by a judge who said the father had suffered enough. Abdul Mosa, 43, was driving on the wrong side of the road when his family's car hit a lorry head-on, killing his seven-year-old, Alin, and injuring six-year-old Ara.

Woman does nothing while her son is handcuffed, beaten for eating birthday cake without permission


A Maryland man was arrested, accused of beating his girlfriend's son for eating birthday cake without permission, according to police.

Hagerstown police say this past Tuesday, the juvenile victim was handcuffed and severely beaten by Wilson, who is dating the boy's mother. The boy reportedly had numerous bruises, contusions and abrasions to different parts of his body.

Ekiti Market leader (Iyaloja) arrested over N93.8m fraud

Police in Ekiti State has arrested the Iyaloja of Ado Ekiti, Chief Mrs Waye Osho for allegedly collecting a sum of N93,860,000 from market men and women in the State. The embattled Iyaloja illegally allocated 4,940 spaces to build shops at Awedele market, Ado Ekiti.

Impeachment rally against Gov. Aregbesola to take place today


Civil Societies’ Coalition for Emancipation of Osun State, CSCEO is organizing an impeachment rally against Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s impeachment and they say they have the support of the Osun State indigenes.

According to the group at a press briefing held in Osogbo yesterday, over 20 civil and faith based societies who are members of CSCEO are already mobilising their members towards the mass rally.

The Ikorodu bank robbery suspects that were paraded at the Lagos state Police command yesterday July 6th , said contrary to what many believed, no woman led their 18-man gang in the robbery attack they conducted on two banks in Ikorordu on June 24th.

The robbers,  Omoboye, alias Alarm blow, 39; Bright Agbojule, 25; Ikuesan, 37, and Abiwa, 20. during interrogation said some of their members were recruited from Warri, Delta state and that they planned the robbery incident in about 30 minutes.

Suicidal father jumps into the River with his 7 month old son

Police have ended their initial search for the body of a 7-month-old who may have plunged into the Connecticut River when his suicidal father jumped off the Arrigoni Bridge in Middletown late Sunday night.

Police said the baby's father, Tony Moreno, 22, of Middletown, called someone threatening suicide before jumping into the river around 11:45 p.m. Sunday. That person dialed 911 and told officers Moreno's baby boy, Aaden, was making noises in the background.

Above is a photo of casualties being transferred onto a flight for evacuation. At least 14 people were killed and many others injured after suspected Al-Shabaab militia attacked Soko Mbuzi village near Mandera town in Kenya in the early hours of this morning.

The terrorists were said to have planted grenades on the doors of people's homes while they were sleeping. Then they hurled a petrol bomb at the tents of some people sleeping outside before shooting people dead. Most of the victims were quarry workers. The attackers escaped to nearby bushes when police arrived at the scene...

South/West APC accuses Buhari of ethnic-based appointments

South-West states’ chairmen of the APC, have decried the pattern of appointments by President Buhari, saying all of them had ethnic slant.

They said aside his spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, every other appointments so far made by Buhari have been from the core North and all of them northern Muslims. The party chairmen vowed not to recognise the emergence of Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon.
