I Was Not A Spy — Sacked Senator’s Aide

Things are not in order in the office of Senator Domingo Obende, representing Edo North in the National Assembly due to the sacking of his right hand aide Mr. Dominic Ifidon who was alleged to spying for another senatorial aspirant, Professor Julius Ihonvbere.

Senator Obende had denied these allegation saying that he did not sack Ifidon  but the aide had abandoned his job for over six weeks and the Senator said: “I do not understand how this will be a story for the newspapers if at all it happened.

I am sure he wants people to be sympathetic to his deliberate action that encourages laziness and lies all in the name of politics.

For me, I wish him well.”
Meanwhile Ifidon doesn''t agree with Senator Obende saying that he gave the senator his all and was the oldest member of the senator's office.

The aide also said that he wasn't a spy for Professor Ihonvbere saying :I have not even spoken with Prof since December. He sent me the text message on February 4, 2014.

He did not even bother to verify the truth of the allegation

Ifidon further said; “we were the closest in the senatorial district.

I worked for him with all my heart and he knows that. I was never disloyal to him. I did not abandon my job. Some people told him that I was working against him and that I was working for Ihonvbere.

I was the oldest staff with him. I worked for with him for three years.”
