Two Alternatives For Boko Haram: Embrace Dialogue, Or Face Full FG’s Might

Decorating the newly promoted police officers, Senate President David Mark, said the Federal Government will no longer tolerate the bloody Boko Haram attacks in North Nigeria.

Mark said that if the Islamist sect would not embrace dialogue with authorities to address "whatever grievances they may have", the FG "would be left with no option than to deploy its might" to deal with the problem.

"No matter how disgruntled or angry they may be, they cannot continue to kill our citizens and destroy property at will as way of life. "It is a high time wise counsel prevailed among these insurgents to drop their arms and embrace peace," Senate President said.

Mark, however, did not disclose what exactly the FG would do should no dialogue happen.
Expressing concern about the increased number of attacks by the insurgents, Mark said that Nigeria has enough challenges to deals with "and certainly does not need these wars and destructions".

"We need to live and work together as free people. We need a country where all citizens have equal opportunities, where no one is oppressed or molested," he added.

Mark also sympathised with Benue State governor Gabriel Suswam, who was attacked by gunmen at Tse-Kenyi village while inspecting the destroyed community.
