Chibok LG Boss Says He Is Not Aware Of Abduction Of 20 Fulani Women

Following reports that about 20 women were recently kidnapped in Chibok, Borno state, the chairman of Chibok Local Government, Baana Lawan, has said he is not aware of such incident.Chibok girls

Leadership reports that he disclosed this yesterday, June 10 while addressing the members of the Bring Back Our Girls Campaign Group.

According to him, he was only aware of where houses were razed and two people confirmed dead.

He also commended members of the group for their persistence and not giving their fight for the release of the .

Baana said, "Thank you for your effort and your time since our girls were abducted on the 14th of April. You people have protested, praying for the release of the girls. We thank you all. We still pray and cry to the world to assist us for the safe return of the girls."

He therefore called on Nigerians and international communities not to cease praying for the release and safe return of the girls.

Reports surfaced online some days back that . The gunmen were said to have tormed the villages of Bakin Kogi, Garkin Fulani and Rugar Hardo along Damboa road in Chibok local government seized the women, ordered them into vehicles at gunpoint and drove them off to an unknown location.
