Lola Alao one of the Nollywood Actress Faces Hard Times in US, Has to Work in a Supermarket

Nollywood actress, producer and businesswoman, Lola Alao, has been living with her Atlanta-based hubby, IT expert called Ajibola, in the USA, since 2013.

Their traditional wedding did not hold for the reasons Lola has never explained to the media. Moreover, she has been off the screens for a long time.

While her position in Yoruba movies has remained vacant for some time, it seems she might be returning home to take her roles back.

Ningeriafilms reports Lola seems to be really having a hard time. She has allegedly started working in a super market in California, which is actually telling more on her.

According to a source close to the actress, Lola Alao might be considering returning home to take back her roles soonest.

If I have to be frank with you, it is better to stay out of polygamy. I am not regretting it, anyway. I am lucky with the kind of wives I have.

I have nothing to regret. I have seen a man with problems despite the fact that he has just one wife. I don’t regret being a polygamist at all.

A man on trial for rape for allegedly refusing to wear a condom on the third time he had sex with a woman in a one-night stand has told the jury it was 100 per cent consensual.

Imomotimi Wilson, 30, met his alleged victim in a pub and she agreed to go back to his house but told him she would only have sex if he used protection.

During a discussion with Dolapo Oni, Bolanle Olukanni and Michelle Dede on the Boy & Girl Talk Marriage section on Moments With Mo show, Big Brother star Uti Nwachukwu said the reason why he and most men can't marry women in the Nigerian entertainment industry is because the women sleep around with big men and they know it.

"Most celebrity women in the entertainment industry have had to sleep with one big man or the other to have the comfortable life they live. Its common knowledge".

He said whenever he hangs out with his friends and they talk about getting married to actresses, that most times the men say never because they've met these actresses in private places with these big men.

The tide of party defection isn't anywhere near over as 16 Local Govt Chairmen and 194 Councillors have defected to the ruling opposition party, the All Progressive Congress, APC. The defectees were elected on the platform of PDP.

After exhaustive consultations and deliberations by our leaders spearheaded by Senator Bukola Saraki, it was unanimously decided that the best option for us would be to merge with the newly formed APC and work together in the overall interest of the good people of this country towards the advancement of democracy,” he said.

A newly hired employee of a Chinese firm based in the Sagamu area of Ogun State has accused his Chinese boss, Mike Jackson, of brutality.

The victim, Adeleke Owolabi, told Punch Metro that Mike and his cousin, Tony Jackson, brutalised him during an argument in Mike’s office.

Owolabi said he had just been hired by Mike to be a marketer in the northern part of the country.

The 40-year-old victim said, “I have been self-employed for a long time and I met Mike sometime last year. He offered me a marketing job in his company and asked me to resume in the first week of January.

An alleged baby factor syndicate operated by a couple, Mr and Mrs Abiodun Ogundeji operating in Ilutuntun, Okitipupa Local Government area of Ondo State was on Wednesday Jan 29th busted by the men of the Ondo state Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service.

FOR REAL! New Course On Beyonce Introduced At University

Rutgers University is offering a course on Beyoncé at the school’s Department of Women’s and Gender Studies.

The class, which is called “Feminist Perspectives: Politicizing Beyoncé,” is being offered during the Spring semester at the college.

Queen Bey 101 is taught by PhD candidate Kevin Allred, who explained to the Rutgers Today newspaper exactly what students can expect from the class.

“This isn’t a course about Beyoncé’s political engagement or how many times she performed during President Obama’s inauguration weekend. Rather, the performer’s music and career are used as lenses to explore American race, gender and sexual politics.”

Queen Bee has joined other celebrities including Oprah and husband Jay Z, (who has a Georgetown University sociology course named after him), who are studied in the University. The course is called Politicizing Beyonce and can be taken at Rutgers University in New Jersey.

The University’s Department of Women’s and Gender Studies will be exploring the social & cultural significance of the songstress’s music and image.

The course will allow fans to explore Beyonce's alter ego Sasha Fierce, and debate the extent of control she has over her own image. They will also debate whether her red hot persona is an outlet of female sexual empowerment or merely complying with western gender stereotypes.

"This isn’t a course about Beyonce’s political engagement or how many times she performed during President Obama’s inauguration weekend. She certainly pushes boundaries. SHOCKING: Nursing Mother’s Breasts Kill Baby

The carelessness of a 30-year-old nursing mother, Lilian Asantewaa has led to the untimely and avoidable death of her 7-month-old baby boy who suffocated while he was being breast-fed.

According to report, Lilian was drunk that Sunday night and slept off while breastfeeding her baby. The child was said to have been mistakenly smothered to death.

The incident which took place at the Akyem Old Tafo in the East Akim Municipal of the Eastern Region in Ghana left residents of the area in shock.

The baby has since been buried and the Tafo Divisional Police Command has commenced investigation into the matter.

However, efforts to speak to the grieving nursing mother proved futile as she declined to give any comment.

She can't remember the attacks which left her without eyes, nose, lips, and hands. However, she says she always felt uneasy about the fact that there's a 'pet' chimp is locked up in her friend's home.

"I remember looking at him in his cage and feeling sorry for him," she says. "My thoughts were, 'How is she allowed this animal in her house? What if he gets loose someday and somebody gets hurt?' I know the animals are cute - but they're just not pets."

June Humphreys, 76, used her free bus pass to travel into town and swipe goods, hid them in her shopping cart then sneaked out of stores without paying.

Policeman Who Killed Young Boy In Front Of Mother - Judgement Finally Delivered

Justice has finally come the way of the family of slain Emmanuel Victor, a 20-year-old man who was killed in front of his mother by a trigger-happy policeman, Mathew Egheghe, two years ago in Yenogoa, Bayelsa state.

Victor was shot dead after he confronted a group of policemen who were trying to extort money from motorists as he was coming back from church.

Angered by his effrontery to question their action, policeman Egheghe moved close to Victor and shot him at close range.

Narrating what happened, Victor's mother Grace, who witnessed the incident said:
"They shot my son brutally. As he fell while they were shooting him, the tallest of them still continued shooting him on the ground".

She said she was harassed and stopped from going close to her dying son even as he lay gasping for life in the pool of his own blood.

Delivering his judgement on the case, Justice Lucky Boufili said that such a cruel act was only punishable by the maximum penalty which is death. He sentenced Mathew Egheghe to death by hanging.

FCMB workers arraigned for stealing N13.5m from bullion van.

Two workers with the First City Monument Bank Plc, Adeyemi Adebayo, 32, and Ogundare Julius, 46, have been arraigned before an Ebute-Meta Magistrate’s court for allegedly stealing €50,000 belonging to the bank.

The men were asked to transport the money in a bullion van from the bank’s headquarters at Marina, Lagos, to a branch of FCMB at Adetokunbo Ademola, Lagos Island.

Adebayo, the cash transit officer, allegedly connived with Julius, the bullion driver, to divert the money to an agreed place.

The matter was said to have been reported at the police station when the bank officers at the receiving branch did not see the funds.

A US schoolteacher has been arrested after hundreds of living and dead pythons in plastic bins were found stacked floor to ceiling inside his stench-filled suburban California home.

As investigators wearing respirator masks carried the reptiles out of the house by the score and stacked them in the driveway, reporters and passers-by gagged at the smell. Some held their noses or walked away from the five-bedroom home to get a breath of air.

How The Grammy's Suprised Rihanna

Rihanna had decided not to attend the 2014 Grammys due to feeling that she wouldn't win but her Unapologetic album nabbed the award for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

A Saudi couple is ending their union in part to the wife’s preoccupation with Kim’s larger-than-life looks.

The unnamed woman husband was soo infatuated with Kim Kardashian’s looks and body, that the wife went to a plastic surgeon in hope to look like what her husband wanted.

“I noticed that he admires Kim Kardashian so I decided to be like her and even more beautiful,” the woman revealed. "I even tried to walk like Kim Kardashian in the hope my husband would be more attracted to me, but the results were not as I had wished.”

According to the woman, her husband was less-than-thrilled with the results and decided that not only did he not like her knockoff Kardashian look, but he no longer wanted to be with her. Womp womp.

The Saudi plastic surgery victim isn’t the first girl to copy Kim’s look — Kris Humphries’ ex-girlfriend, Myla Sinanaj, reportedly dropped $30,000 in the pursuit of Kim-style perfection.
