Nigerian International and Cardiff City player Osaze Peter Odemwingie appears set to move to Stoke City in exchange for fellow striker, Kenwyne Jones.

The deal is set to be confirmed once Jones has successfully completed a medical with Odemwingie having already passed his.

The Nigerian international only joined the Welsh club from West Bromwich Albion for £2 million last summer but has struggled badly, scoring just twice in 17 appearances and new Bluebirds manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is keen to move him on.
Jones, meanwhile, was dropped by manager Mark Hughes for last weekend's 1-0 reverse at Crystal Palace, having declared himself unavailable for the previous fixture against Liverpool by text message.

The Trinidad and Tobago international joined the Potters in 2010 for a club record fee of £8 million but scored only 26 goals in 115 appearances.
