Minutes before the start of Chile-Australia game, which will later
end in a 3-1 defeat for Bresciano and his teammates, the footballer was
pictured tying the shoelaces of a mascot on crutches.
The touching photo made social media explode with positive
reactions. Fox Sports News even claimed it "might be the enduring image
of #WorldCup"

When the 34-year-old player was later asked to comment on the gesture, he said modestly that every dad would do the same in his place.
