Reasonable Doubt rapper Jay Z has increased his business empire, acquiring champagne brand Armand de Brignac.
The American Hip Hop star bought the brand from New York wine and spirits company Sovereign Brands.
New York wine and spirits company Sovereign Brands revealed the news that the star acquired the brand for an undisclosed price.
The champagne, popularly known as “Ace of Spades” is mainly made in the French town of Chigny-les-Roses by only eight people.
The gold branded bottle retails at $300 (N51,000).
Jay Z is known to love the brand, which is bottled at a historical home opened in 1763.
He had allegedly shown 350 bottles of the drink at one fundraiser he and his wife, Beyonce knowles threw for the American president Barack Obama in 2012.
This acquisation joins a list of business interest Jay Z has outside
music which also include a clothing line, restaurants and a recording
label.
Jay Z has been rapping since 1994 and has 6 platinum albums in his portfolio.
