NIMASA paid me N905million for contracts I did not execute- witness

A witness in the ongoing trial of former NIMASA DG, Patrick Akpobolokemi and six others in a N2.3 billion fraud, yesterday told the court of how he received N905, 800, 000 from NIMASA for a contract he did not execute.

The witness according to Tribune, Uche Obilor who is the Managing Director of three companies, Ace Prosthesis Limited, Seabulk Offshore Limited and Southern Offshore Limited told the court that the money was paid into his companies’ two bank accounts even though he did not tender any proposal or carry out any contract for NIMASA.

EFCC ransacks ex Vice President, Sambo’s Abuja office, seize $50,000


Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC on Saturday January 30th, stormed the Abuja office of former Vice President Namadi Sambo, ransacked it for documents and also seized $50,000.According to a report by The Nation, the anti-graft agency may have ransacked his office over an alleged N20 million monthly subvention he received from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) while he was Vice President.

Buhari pledges increased budgetary allocation to issues relating to Women Affairs

The perpetrator of the Friday bomb attack on Al Ridha Mosque in Al Ahsa in the Eastern Province has been identified as Abdul Rahman Bin Abdullah Bin Sulaiman Al Tuwaijri, a 22-year-old Saudi national. The interior ministry said on Saturday, January 30, said that the attacker who bombed the mosque in Al Mahasin neighbourhood had been arrested two years ago for taking part in a rally to call for the release of detainees.

A primary school teacher identified as Evi Iwaha pictured above, has narrated how some robbers attacked her,took her ATM card and cleared her account in the early hours of Saturday January 30th.
She narrated her story to The Nation. "It happened a few minutes to 6.00am; I’d boarded a bus supposedly to Oshodi from Obanikoro. No sooner had the bus moved than they sprang into action. The first thing they did was grab my phone; ‘What do you do? Where are you coming from?’one of them asked.
