Bayero,89 was flown aboard a charted flight through Malam Aminu Kano International Airport yesterday afternoon in company of his children and some senior counsellor of the emirate.

The 13th Fulani Emir had over the past few years been battling with undisclosed ailments that had compelled him to seek advanced treatment abroad.

Sequel to his health crisis, the revered Emir has been confined to the wheel culminating in disappearance from public view except on rear occasion.

Bayero who mounted the throne of his forefathers in the early 60s has been a stabilising figure in a city of 9 million people.

It is not clear when he will return as their was no announcement either from the emirate council or the Kano state Government, however teeming subjects has continue to offer special prayers for his health and safe returns to base.
