'He Raped His Neighbour's 4-Year-Old Child' - Judge Refuses Bail Application Of 40-Year-Old Man

A 40-year-old man, Michael Ekebi hs been remanded in prison by a Yaba Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for raping his neighbour's 4-year-old daughter.

The police prosecutor, ASP Felix Ifijen told the court on Tuesday that Ekebi had on Feb. 7 lured his neighbour's 4-year daughter into his room where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
He was arraigned on a one count charge of rape.

Ekebi, however, pleaded not guilty of the charge, and applied for bail.

Presiding over the matter, Chief Magistrate Yewande Aje-Afunwa refused the bail application and ordered the accused to be remanded in prison custody while she adjourned the case to March 28.
