
Police spokesperson in the state, DSP Celestina Kalu, confirmed that the suspect was arrested around Uromi Junction, Agbor at about 10:30pm on Sunday, while wooing drivers of heavy duty vehicles.
She told journalist that the bubble burst when a man who had successfully negotiated with the prostitute for her services and paid her N5,000 was walking to a guest house with her and she tripped and fell into a drainage, causing her wig to fall off her head and policemen on patrol who rushed to help her up saw that it was a man in female clothing.
Kalu said upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, saying he has been involved in the act for over three years to eke a living, explaining that after long fruitless search for a job, he was left no option.
The police spokesperson said three packs of earrings and female clothes including miniskirts were recovered from the victim, who she said would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
