A two-week-old baby abandoned was yesterday found along the road in Yalangurusa area of Gombe state.
According
to the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Fwaje Atajiri, the
mother of the baby, one Favour Augustine gave birth to the baby on
February 19th, after which she allegedly wrapped him up and dropped him
along the road.
He said a member of the public found the child and took him to Anglican Covenant Church, Yalangurusa.
Its so sad how a woman would carry a pregnancy for nine months and yet abandon the child after delivery.
