Kaze, who represents Jos South/Jos East, described the action as "a welcome development which actually is long overdue.”

He wondered why it took President Jonathan “such a long time” in taking this “very decisive action.”

“But for the fact that I am a lawmaker, who understands the weight of the law and due process, I would have preferred if he had been sacked outrightly and handed over to the law enforcement agents for immediate prosecution. However, President Jonathan must quickly empanel a team of professionals of unquestionable character to beam a searchlight into the dark years of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as Governor of Nigeria's Central Bank,” Kaze said.
The lawmaker alleged the CBN Governor had done incalculable damage to the integrity of the CBN and invariably the economy of Nigeria.

“I am unable to recall that any previous CBN Governor has done incalculable damage to the integrity of the CBN and invariably the economy of Nigeria compared to Sanusi Lamido Sanusi whose reign of impunity is unequalled in the history of the CBN.”

Sanusi’s suspension was announced on Thursday.
