On Thursday, a Zamfara High Court sitting in state's capital Gusau adjourned  to April 8 the armed robbery and attempted murder case preferred against Senator Ahmed Yarima and 29 others.

Former Zamfara State Governor Yarima was arraigned by the Inspector-General of Police on an eight-count charge of armed robbery, conspiracy and attempt to commit murder, among other insinuations.

Yarima appeared before Justice Bello Gummi of the High Court along with other 29 co-accused persons.

A serving member of the House of Representatives, representing Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency, Ibrahim Shehu, has alleged that the Senator conspired with other accused persons to kill him on August 22, 2013. The complainant also alleged that during the attack on him, the sum of N10 million was removed from his car.
