On July 18, it was reported that the Cross River State born award-winning actress made known her intentions of joining politics under the aegis of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Kate plans on contesting for the Federal House of Representatives for Calabar Munical/Odukpani Federal Constituency in the primaries coming up in October.
Apparently one of her fans did not take the news well, as the fan took to twitter to blast her calling her a ‘Prostitue’.
The Nollywood diva is however yet to respond to these comments.
Kate Henshaw remains one of the top Nollywood actresses who has featured in both the English and Yoruba movies.
Kate who began her acting career in Lagos in 1993 after a chance opportunity to audition for a role in the movie "When the Sun Sets" has featured in over 200 movies.
The mother of one who is a graduate of Medical Biology recently turned 43-years-old on July 19.
Kate is signed on to some mouth-watering deal such as being the Ambassador and Face of Onga Seasoning, a brand from Promasidor Nigeria Ltd for the past 5 years till date and she also hosts the cooking programme, ONGA TIME OUT.
She is the Ambassador for Samsung Mobile and Samsung Electronics and Ambassador for a charity organization, Project Alert on Violence against Women and Children.
Also an Ambassador for Golden Link for the National Cervical Cancer Prevention Programme amongst others.
