President Jonathan and Patience arrive South Africa
According to the presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, who spoke to newsmen late Saturday night, South Africans did not boo Jonathan, rather they appreciated his presence and showed him great hospitality.
Describing the report as absolutely untrue, Abati said those behind it were being unfair and uncharitable, adding that the report fits into ongoing plots to discredit Jonathan's administration.
Abati explained that terrorism is a global challenge which the whole world faces and everyone is aware of the challenges being faced by Nigeria in relation to the abduction of the girls and insecurity challenges.
He added that the government would do everything within its power to ensure that the girls are brought back home safely.
Report had it that President Jonathan had been greeted with shouts of 'bring back our girls' when he arrived at the Union Buildings, Pretoria, for President Zuma's second term inauguration.
