President of the The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Malam Abdulazeez Folayemi, encouraged everyone to embark on fasting and prayer to seek Allah’s intervention in the challenging times. He also stressed that the Muslim students in Nigeria and the Diaspora condemn the vicious act aimed at multiplying the suffering of the ordinary people."Our view is that the nation is undergoing a trying period, the nation should wear a mourning look and all flags should be flown at half-mast until our sisters are rescued," Folayemi said.
He appealed to the Federal Government asking for the deployment of all necessary machinery to ensure the safe return of the girls. He adressed the subject of the 2nd Nyanya bomb explosion once again seeking for stronger measures to combat terrorists in Nigeria.
