Mark said this in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Paul Mumeh, Daily Trust reports.
On April 14 more than 200 girls were kidnapped from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok by the suspected Boko Haram sect.

Mark said that nothing could justify the abduction of the innocent children who only go to school to improve their lives and contribute to the socio-economic and political development of Nigeria.
"It a terrible assault on our psyche as a people," Senate President added.

He urged the security agencies to cooperate with each other and do everything possible to rescue the girls.

"We should all know that there is the Almighty God above all. This lack of human feelings and display of impunity is certainly not a way of life. The perpetrators should rethink and give peace a chance. "Let us go back to the basics and live like true Africans where brother hood is held sacrosanct," Mark said.
